Kihmari Ronso
Age: nobody's quite sure...
Grade Level: Junior
Extra-Curricular Activities: Along with being the mascot, (which has sort of veered away from the "activity" road and into the ditch of "way of life") Kihmari enjoys the following:
Performing for treats- If you offer lunch, cookies, candy, or ice cream, Kihmari will do a little dance. Or somersault. Or chase his tail. This obviously doesn't earn him any points on the "Cool" test, but, really, how much does that matter to a guy who wanders around in a ronso suit?
Visiting his "best friends" in the zoo- Kihmari tends to spend his non-homework time at the zoo, where he talks to the ronsos in the ronso pit. They answer, but only he can hear them. He enjoys giving them the details of his exciting days in school. They enjoy sitting around and paying him scant attention. It's a mutually beneficial situation.
Complaining about Wakka- Apparently, the jock gets in Kihmari's personal space on a daily basis. Even if Wakka is absent that day.
Fawning over Yuna- "Kihmari like Yuna. And ice cream." He follows the geek around and generally protects her from bullies and coolness.
Oh, and talking poorly. He's not an exchange student, as far as anyone can tell, he just has a poor grasp of verb conjugation. Kihmari does not do well in Cid Kramer's class.
Appearance: A fairly short guy, dressed in a blue ronso suit and a white basketball jersey. Any attempts to discover further details have failed. Kihmari once bit a guy that tried to forcibly remove his mask.
Writing Sample:
The late afternoon sun made the zoo a stark contrast of orange highlights and blue shadows. A few people wandered among the exhibits, staring at the caged beasts. Spectators outside the ronso pit stared at the young man in a ronso suit who was leaning on the railing and holding a one-sided conversation with the occupants.
"...and then Yuna look at Kihmari, and Kihmari say, 'Kihmari will go get the book for Yuna.' And Yuna say, 'No, that okay, Kihmari.'" He paused, listening intently to the animals below.
"No, Kihmari has no homework tonight. Kihmari will watch much TV, instead." Pause. "No, no, Kihmari will stay here until he has to go. Ronso friends are Kihmari's best friends, after all."
One man prodded the odd fellow. "Hey," he chuckled, "you actually think those guys understand you?"
Kihmari looked thoughtful, as much as a person wearing a mask can. "Probably not," he replied, "Ronso friends from another world- they not know pressures of high school student. But ronso friends like to hear Kihmari tell about Kihmari day, and Kihmari listen to friends tell about friends' day. So everybody happy."
"...riiight." The interloper shook his head and turned away, befuddled. For his part, the ronso-suited boy returned to his conversation with the ronso below.
"So, anyway, then the lunch bell ring..."
Kihmari Ronso was originally made by Square and stuff. I just perverted the character for my own purposes to play FFHS.
